Hello friends! My name is Heather Church, and I am a wife and a mom to 3 teenagers. Two girls and a boy. I am also a dog mom to two fun pups. A miniature Schnauzer named Fritz and a white Scottish Terrier named Missy.
Most importantly, I have rested my faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, after a much too long journey of trusting in my own self-righteousness.
Some things that I enjoy are Studying the Bible and Bible journaling, spending time with my family, heartfelt discussions with my friends, trying to improve my mind through reading, expressing my thoughts and feelings with writing and journaling, and creating by crafting and sewing.
Recently, I started to take an interest in painting and drawing, which I don’t know where that came from, lol! And of course, I enjoy planning, which is also a very recent hobby for me.
And not just any type of planning. I love planning with stickers and stickers and more stickers and ALL the fun accessories that go along with this “hobby”. I’ll have to tell you more about my “planning story” in another post.
I also enjoy being outdoors and being in nature, but not sleeping in it, lol! I found that out the hard way, which is a story in of itself, ha!
The Smokey Mountains and the beach are my favorite places that bring solace to my soul. I love the sun, and the smell of salt air and viewing mountains take my breath away.
Growing up, I rode horses and even owned a few. I miss that hobby very much. But it’s a very expensive hobby and requires quite a bit of property, which is also expensive, lol! So my dogs fill that hole in my heart a little bit for me.
I am from Atlanta GA but was raised mostly in FL, just an hour away from Disney World. Almost eight years ago, my husband and I made a bold decision to move to Texas and that’s where I am living now. I miss FL tons, but I love the people I have met here in Texas, the bluebonnets and wildflowers that bloom profusely here and the hill country which are like mini mountains.
My favorite treat of all time is Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream. I grew up on Mint Chocolate ice cream! Some of my earliest memories are sitting on my dad’s shoulder’s waiting in line at the ice cream shop and getting a cone of ice cream.
I have tons more of favorite things I could list out, but I don’t want to bore you!
Please, write a comment below and let me know a little bit about yourself. It’s fun to make new friends and connect!
